I am a Commercial Photographer and Art Director for Fly Fishing and Outdoor Brands

As the sport of fly fishing grows it becomes increasingly difficult to stay engaged with your audience.

Wether you are looking for a steady stream of social media content or you are doing a full rebrand, I am here to help you grow and strengthen the connection with your audience through authentic storytelling.

It’s more than pretty pictures for the sake of it

Having a strong visual identity for your brand is about creating consumer trust and converting them into super fans that will come back time and time again.

  • Strong visuals boost consumer trust by signaling professionalism, attention to detail, and consistency—qualities that people subconsciously associate with reliability. When a brand’s imagery feels intentional and cohesive, it communicates that the company cares about its craft and its audience. Whether it’s the way products are lit, the tone of lifestyle photography, or the clarity of a brand’s visual language, these elements create a sense of stability and credibility. In contrast, inconsistent or low-quality visuals can make even a great product feel unpolished or unreliable. In a world flooded with options, consumers are more likely to trust—and ultimately buy from—a brand that looks like it knows what it’s doing.

  • A strong visual identity doesn’t just attract customers—it cultivates loyalty and turns them into superfans. When a brand’s look and feel resonate on a deeper level—through color, composition, and tone—it creates emotional familiarity. That familiarity becomes connection, and connection builds community. People don’t just buy the product; they buy into the story, the aesthetic, and the lifestyle it represents. The more consistently and confidently a brand shows up, the easier it is for customers to recognize themselves in it—and when they do, they don’t just return, they advocate.

  • A strong visual identity gives a brand the power to stand apart in a crowded market by creating deliberate visual contrast. When competitors all blend into the same aesthetic trends—be it muted tones, sterile product shots, or generic branding—a well-crafted identity can cut through the noise with clarity and purpose. Whether it’s a unique color palette, a distinct photographic style, or a bold approach to layout and type, these choices signal confidence and originality. Visual contrast not only grabs attention—it helps customers remember you, reinforcing the idea that your brand is different, intentional, and worth choosing over the rest.

  • Stronger visual content can significantly lower a brand’s advertising costs by improving the performance and efficiency of every campaign. High-quality, strategically crafted visuals are more likely to stop the scroll, earn clicks, and convert viewers—meaning ads require less spend to achieve better results. Platforms like Meta, Google, and TikTok reward engaging content with lower CPMs and broader organic reach, making great visuals an investment that pays dividends. When your imagery clearly communicates your value and resonates emotionally with your audience, you don’t need to over-explain or over-spend. Simply put, better visuals reduce friction—and lower costs—at every stage of the marketing funnel.

Photography Services

I am here to integrate with your brand, not add more work to your plate. Creating a strong visual voice for your brand ensures that you more efficiently get your point across so that you can spend less time focused on sales and more time on growth.

  • Rebranding or launching a new product line? Let’s plan a campaign that speaks to the soul of your brands footprint in the industry.

  • Sure, you could just post the cell phone shots your guide buddies send you, and honestly, I can’t dispute the effectiveness in that. But that stuff doesn’t have much of anything to do with your products. Let’s make a plan to consistently showcase your products alongside the grip n’ grins.

  • Everything from basic E-Commerce images to bold and dramatic pack shots, I have you covered when your product needs to be only subject of the image.

  • Over the past 15 years, my work has been featured in Rolling Stone, FlyFish Journal, Alternative Press, Phoenix Magazine, and many more.

    Let’s tell some stories

Lifestyle

Let’s show your products in use and emphasize what it is about that product that your customers are searching for. Wether your brand emphasizes craftsmanship, practicality, comfort, or even survival, Let’s work together to tell that story to your audience.

E-Commerce and Pack Shots

In addition to lifestyle imagery, I offer product photography that is suitable for both, E-Commerce, as well as product breakdowns.

We can shoot something more stylized and environmental or we can keep it simple and display your products on white seamless.

Art Direction

As an Art Director, I work with small outdoor and fly fishing brands that need a dedicated creative partner without the overhead of a full in-house team. I offer end-to-end creative direction—from campaign ideation and brand storytelling to photography, production planning, and content strategy. Most of the brands I collaborate with have lean teams and limited bandwidth, so I step in to manage and execute the visual side of the brand—from seasonal product launches to ongoing content needs. Whether it’s building a cohesive visual identity, planning a shoot, or leading creative for a new campaign, I make sure the brand shows up with clarity, consistency, and impact.
